Limavady-Ballymena is called off
Tommy Wright
Tommy Wright wanted the game called off earlier
The Carnegie Premier League match between Limavady United and Ballymena United has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at the Showgrounds.

Heavy overnight rain in the north west was followed by showers on Saturday afternoon so referee Adrian McCourt called off the game at 1415 GMT.

Ballymena boss Tommy Wright said he thought the match could have been called off before his team travelled.

Limavady manager Ollie Mullan agreed with the decision but was disappointed.

He hoped to build on his side's 3-0 win over Glenavon as the Roesiders try to get off the bottom of the table.
