A hat-trick from Stephen Carson was only enough to give Coleraine a draw. Stephen Hyndes shot home from the edge of the penalty area on 27 minutes but Carson equalised with a 33rd minute free-kick into the roof of the net.
Stevie Coulter made it 2-1 with a 42nd minute backpost header but Carson fired the ball home on 60 minutes for 2-2.
Seamus Browne bundled the ball home from close range on 78 minutes but a minute later Carson blasted home to earn a point for the Bannsiders.
