 Andrew Waterworth signs on for Hamilton boss Billy Reid |
Hamilton Academicals have signed Lisburn Distillery striker Andrew Waterworth, after he successfully came through a medical. The Northern Ireland Under-21 striker will be in Hamilton's squad for their Scottish Cup fifth round game against Aberdeen on Saturday.
Hamilton were restored to the Scottish Cup after Brechin were thrown out for fielding ineligible players.
Whites board members agreed the sale on Tuesday evening.
Waterworth is a Northern Ireland Under-21 international.
The player has been keen to land a move to full-time football and although the Whites turned down an initial offer from Accies, the Scottish club are believed to have doubled their offer.
