The striker put pen to paper on a one-and-a-half-year contract after holding talks with City manager Gerry Flynn on Sunday.

The Newry boss has targeted Morgan since taking over the reins at the Showgrounds and has finally got his man after several unsuccessful attempts.

Morgan had struggled to hold down a regular starting slot at Glentoran since signing a new contract in June.

"I am happy to have the matter resolved as I know Gerry has been after me for a while," said Morgan.

"Newry City are going places and I know Gerry very well so it was an easy decision to make," he added.

Morgan should be available for Tuesday's Carnegie Premier game against Lisburn Distillery.
