Paul Muir headed Lisburn Distillery's winner against Newry |
Lisburn Distillery made it two wins from two in the Carnegie Premier League thanks to a 35th-minute winner from defender Paul Muir. He headed in from Gary Browne's free-kick awarded for an Emmet Friars foul on Andy Waterworth.
Before that Browne had put in-form frontman Waterworth through one-on-one with keeper Robert Robinson but the shot struck a post.
Newry fought strongly in the second half but could not find an equaliser.
Richard Clarke fired wide while Stephen Garrett went close.
For Distillery, Peter McCann lifted a second half effort over.
