Newry City's Richard Clarke has attracted a lot of interest |
Newry City's highly-rated skipper Richard Clarke is to have a week-long trial with League Two club Bury. The Northern Ireland Under-21 midfielder is also understood to have attracted interest from Championship club Gillingham.
City boss Gerry Flynn said Newry would not stand in Clarke's way if he got the chance to move to England.
But he added that the club's board had promised him Clarke would not be transferred to an Irish League club.
Glentoran are known to have made an inquiry about the player.
