Defender Padraig Gollogley joined Larne in November |
Carnegie Premier League club Larne have rejected a claim that defender Padraig Gollogley was not registered properly when he joined them in November. All 16 senior clubs received an anonymous letter alleging Gollogley had not received international clearance.
Irish FA officials also got the letter but said they would only act if a club made an official complaint.
"Everything was done properly at the time and we have the paperwork to prove it," said Larne official Sam McCready.
"We are disgusted someone would stoop to such a level to try to unsettle our players ahead of an important league game this weekend."
Larne, who are battling to avoid the relegation play-off, are away to Lisburn Distillery on Saturday in their penultimate match of the league campaign.
Dundalk-based Gollogley joined Larne from Newry City and has also had a spell with Ards.
