Cork condemned Derry to their fifth defeat in six games with a comfortable Eircom Premier Division win at the Brandywell on Monday night. Roy O'Donovan (12) followed up to put Cork ahead after debutant keeper Ola Tidman could only parry a shot.
Peter Hutton hooked the ball into the net two minutes later to level before Admir Softic (42) made it 2-1.
Dan Murray's (80) header and a lob from substitute Denis Behan (88) sealed the points for the visitors.
The Candystripes remain nine points behind leaders St Pat's after five games.
