Roy Millar is in charge of Northern Ireland's Under-20 squad |
AFC Wimbledon winger Robin Shroot has won a call-up to Northern Ireland's Under-20 panel for two friendly matches against Israel. Roy Millar's boys will play games in Tel Aviv on 12 and 14 March.
Shroot qualifies because he has a grandmother from Northern Ireland and has already played for the Under-19s.
Several years ago Shroot wrote to Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez, a former Wimbledon favourite, telling him of his international ambitions.
The 18-year-old is pressing for a regular first team slot with Ryman League Wimbledon who are managed by Ulsterman Dave Anderson.
