Windsor Park is scheduled to host the NI-Wales game on 6 February |
The Irish FA has said work will be done at Windsor Park to make sure Northern Ireland's 6 February friendly against Wales goes ahead. An independent report has raised concerns about fire risks in the south stand while the north stand's roof was damaged in recent storms.
"The stadium is 100 years old. There are issues which have to be addressed," said chief executive Howard Wells.
"We have to keep international football running at Windsor Park."
Wells said work would be quickly scheduled to ensure the Wales match went ahead without any risk to public health and safety.
The report looking at Windsor Park's suitability for international football was commissioned by Irish League club Linfield who own the ground.
Concerns were raised about smoking being permitted in the south stand which is a wooden structure.
