Manager David Jeffrey has unveiled an 18-man squad for the Carnegie Premier League's representative match against the English Conference on 13 February. Jeffrey has included five players from his own club Linfield, five from Glentoran and three each from Portadown and Cliftonville.
The game will be played at Mourneview Park in Lurgan.
"I have not gone for all the big names but concentrated on the best young players," said Jeffrey.
"We want to show off our talent. The local game is much maligned but some of these lads could certainly play in England.
"I have included players who are looking to be aournd the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad."
League chairman Bobby Jamieson revealed that plans were being made for an Under-23 international league competition.
It would include representative teams from Northern Ireland, Wales, England, Italy, Belgium, Holland and the Republic of Ireland.
The tournament has been earmarked for October or November 2007.
