Curran takes charge at Inver Park
Paul Curran
Paul Curran captained Larne in the 2005 Irish Cup final
Former Derry City defender Paul Curran has been appointed as the new manager of Larne, succeeding Jim Hagan who was sacked two weeks ago.

The Dundalk-based barman, who captained Larne in the 2005 Irish Cup Final defeat by Portadown, will take charge of the team immediately.

Larne are currently 15th in the Carnegie League table - a point ahead of bottom club Loughgall.

Curran's first match will be Friday's home league game against Ballymena.

He is expected to announce his backroom team during the week.
