Paul Curran captained Larne in the 2005 Irish Cup final |
Former Derry City defender Paul Curran has been appointed as the new manager of Larne, succeeding Jim Hagan who was sacked two weeks ago. The Dundalk-based barman, who captained Larne in the 2005 Irish Cup Final defeat by Portadown, will take charge of the team immediately.
Larne are currently 15th in the Carnegie League table - a point ahead of bottom club Loughgall.
Curran's first match will be Friday's home league game against Ballymena.
He is expected to announce his backroom team during the week.
