George McMullan scored the opener for Cliftonville |
The Reds continued their good start in the Carnegie Premier League by beating 10-man Loughgall at Lakeview Park. The in-form visitors carved out the best first-half chances with George McMullan striking the crossbar.
McMullan made no mistake on 53 minutes when he fired home and Mark Holland converted a penalty seven minutes later after a foul on Chris Scannell.
Loughgall's Kevin Henry was sent-off for two yellow cards before Daragh Peden pulled one back on 84 minutes.
Mark Holland wasted a good opening in the first half by heading over from six yards while Stuart Addis made good saves from Scannell and John O'Loughlin.
Cliftonville stay fourth, five points behind leaders Glentoran, with Loughgall one point adrift at the bottom.
