 Peter Kennedy netted the winner for Portadown |
Peter Kennedy was the matchwinner for Portadown with a left foot volley from 20 yards after 58 minutes. In the first half Kennedy fired wide, Gary Mccutcheon went close with an overhead kick and John Convery headed over for Portadown.
Lewis Hamlin had a chance for Larne and Kevin Pressman saved from Liam Mullen.
Larne pressed for an equaliser after Kennedy's goal and Pressman had to be in top form to deny Johnny Montgomery and Hamlin late in the game.
