Glenn Ferguson scored the winning goal on the stroke of half-time to keep the Blues in touch with leaders Glentoran. The striker found the net with a right foot curling free-kick past the wall.
Aidan O'Kane was off target with an early shot, Declan Browne saved a Ferguson effort from a Peter Thompson cross and Thomas Stewart was denied.
Stewart was wide of the post with a good second half chance while Alan Mannus produced a fine save from Paul Harbinson and also from Noel Corrigan.
