Portadown chalked up their third successive win in the Carnegie Premier League with Gary McCutcheon scoring both goals against Ballymena United. McCutcheon got the opener on 25 minutes after controlling a Jamie Marks cross and shooting past Paul Murphy.
The Scot snapped up number two in the 68th minute after substitute Wesley Boyle effort had come off a post.
Ballymena sub Austin Friel netted a penalty after a harsh hand ball decision against Michael Collins.
Portadown's Gary Liggett then struck an upright while the unmarked Gary Haveron shot over after being presented with a good chance to snatch a draw.
