Scorer Jason Hill gets a pat on the head from Kyle Neill |
Glentoran stayed two points clear of the pack by beating Lisburn Distillery to make it four wins out of four. Jason Hill pounced on a rebound for an 18th-minute goal and his first of the season to put the Glens ahead.
Michael Halliday then netted his 100th goal in a Glentoran short, blasting into the roof of the net from close-range on 35 minutes.
Gary Hamilton raced through to make it 3-1 early in the second half before the Whites netted a Darren Armour penalty.
The spot-kick came after referee Stephen Weatherall harshly ruled that Hill had fouled Ryan Catney.
Former Glentoran forward Armour swept the kick past Elliott Morris to give Paul Kirk's men some hope.
But the leaders stayed on top and were never really in danger of dropping their first points.
