The Irish Football Association is to take another look at the standing of Premier League club Coleraine. The move follows complaints from other clubs who believe the Bannsiders have escaped lightly after running up debts of more than 1.3million.
The club went bankrupt but was taken over by the Friends of Coleraine group and allowed to maintain Premier status.
The Irish FA had earlier cleared them of any wrongdoing but now the Premier League wants the issue probed again.
It is believed some members of the Irish League's committee want to see Coleraine start the Carnegie Premier campaign with a points penalty.
