Newry City have released Tyrone gaelic footballer Colm McCullagh but manager Roy Coyle has signed another left-sided player, Cormac McArdle, from Dundalk. Meanwhile one of Coyle's former charges Chris Walker is thought to be wanted by Cliftonville after being deemed surplus to requirements at Glentoran. Crusaders striker Gareth Walsh will be out for nine months to a year after shattering his ankle in a friendly. Walsh's former club Glenavon have put Kieran O'Connor on the transfer list.
