Kennedy to make Portadown return

Peter Kennedy is returning to play for Portadown
Former Northern Ireland star Peter Kennedy is returning to Irish League club Portadown.

Kennedy has agreed a two-year deal with the Ports, almost 10 years after he left Shamrock Park for Notts County.

The 32-year-old, most recently with Peterborough United, hopes to move back to live in Northern Ireland in June.

The signing is boss Ronnie McFall's first move as he aims to rebuild his squad after the departures of Darren Kelly, Gary Hamilton and Kyle Neill.

Kennedy won the last of his 20 Northern Ireland caps in 2004.
