Jim Gardiner's Loughgall side will face Linfield in the next round |
Johnny Topley's 90th minute winner completed a dramatic comeback as Loughgall came from two goals down to win Tuesday's Irish Cup replay. Two first half goals from David Irwin seemed set to earn Banbridge a last 16 meeting with Linfield.
However, Ally Wilson pulled a goal back on 72 and Stevie Coulter half-volleyed the equaliser two minutes later.
Topley's winner came after Coulter's shot had been well-saved by Banbridge goalkeeper Stephen Haveron.
Former Portadown player Irwin put Town in front with a great first-time finish on 28 minutes over the head of Loughgall goalkeeper Marc Robinson.
Irwin then notched his 19th goal of the season when he chipped the ball over Robinson after a mix-up in the home defence.
Banbridge looked in control at half-time but Loughgall had other ideas.
