Kenny Shiels' side grabbed a precious point |
Larne and Glenavon shared the spoils in an entertaining game at Inver Park on Thursday, with the draw a fair result. The visitors took the lead after 18 minutes with a clinical Marty Verner finish, set up by Aidan McVeigh.
Larne levelled on 65 minutes when a 30-yard effort from Ross Black took a deflection over Stephen Carroll's head.
Lewis Hamlin fired home from 15 yards four minutes from time to put the home side in front but a powerful header from Aaron Black gave Glenavon a point.
Black's younger brother Ross had earlier levelled for Larne, but Aaron ensured neither sibling could claim Christmas bragging rights when he rose to nod home Gareth Walsh's cross.
