Platini to make draw in Belfast
Michel Platini
Michel Platini will make the draw for the Uefa Under-19 event
Former World and European footballer of the year Michel Platini will be in Belfast on 3 June to make the draw for the Uefa Under-19 tournament.

Eight teams will take part in the event which runs from 18-29 July at five venues in Northern Ireland.

"Michel has rearranged his diary to do this and it will be a huge honour to welcome him to the City Hall," said Irish FA president Jim Boyce.

Platini is hoping to become the next president of Uefa.

But the Frenchman faces a battle with Franz Beckenbauer to succeed Lennart Johansson in 2006.
