Eddie Patterson was dismissed from the touchline at Mourneview |
Glenavon twice came from behind to earn a draw against the Reds at Mourneview. After an evenly contested, entertaining first half Aaron Black diverted Gary Kennedy's cross into his own goal to give Cliftonville a 55th minute lead.
Conor Walsh equalised with a blistering shot a minute later but Mark Holland stabbed the ball in at the near post on 76 minutes to edge the visitors ahead.
Davy McAlinden levelled with a powerful far post header from Gerard McMahon's cross with eight minutes remaining.
The Lurgan Blues had all the early chances, with Shea Campbell going close, Marty Verner failing to get on the end of McMahon's cross and Paul Straney saving Kieran O'Connor's free-kick.
At the other end, Andy McDonald denied Kennedy and Peter Telford while Reds manager Eddie Patterson was sent to the stand for dissent.
The goals started to flow in the second half, with Holland notching his strike 14 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
