Michael Halliday hit Glentoran's opener in the 71st minute |
Second half goals from Michael Halliday and substitute Gary Brown earned Glentoran a 2-0 victory in Saturday's Irish Premier League clash at Limavady. Chris Morgan missed Glentoran's best first half chance while Halliday saw a header saved by keeper Michael Doherty.
Limavady improved after half-time but Halliday struck in the 71st minute after keeper Doherty had made a hash of an attempted clearance.
Dave Bulow missed a chance for Limavady before Brown's late Glens clincher.
Glentoran manager Roy Coyle is unlikely to have been over-impressed with his team's display.
His team lost their way after half-time and goalkeeper Elliott Morris had to make a fine save to prevent Davy Patton putting the Roesiders ahead before Halliday's goal.
