Liam Fleming sustained a sore neck and back in a car accident |
Cliftonville captain Liam Fleming is likely to be out for several weeks after being involved in a car accident on Wednesday night. Fleming sustained neck and back injuries and will definitely miss Saturday's Irish Premier League game away to Coleraine.
John O'Loughlin and Anto Crawford are struggling with hamstring injuries.
Manager Liam Beckett is also awaiting updates on flu victims Keith Mulvenna, Nathan McConnell and Paul Straney.
"Liam Fleming sustained a sore neck and back. We do not think he has broken anything but he seems to be badly bruised. It is not clear how long he will be out for," said manager Beckett.
"O'Loughlin and Crawford have not trained this week and are doubtful.
"As well as the boys who have flu, Sean Hennegan came back from schoolboy international duty with a groin injury."
Reds reserve goalkeeper Jim Connolly is on standby to replace first choice Straney.
