Chris Morgan's hat-trick helped Glentoran claim a comfortable win over a disappointing Cliftonville outfit at the Oval. Morgan struck the opener in the 38th minute after a Gavin Melaugh corner.
The game was effectively 15 seconds after the break when Morgan struck the Glens' second goal.
Nathan McConnell then wasted Cliftonville's best chance while Lockhart and Morgan added the remaining goals in the final five minutes.
Paul Leeman and Kevin Keegan missed the match through injury while Michael Halliday dropped to the bench for the Glens.
Stephen Parkhouse was among the players to come into the Glens line-up and the Derryman was denied by a fine Paul Stranney save in the 25th minute.
Conor Downey then had an effort saved by Elliott Morris before Morgan stabbed home the Glens' opener seven minutes before the interval.
Before half-time, Sean Holmes missed a glorious chance for a second Glentoran goal while at the other end John O'Loughlin had a shot well-saved by Elliott Morris.
Morgan's second goal straight after the break was a hammer blow for the visitors.
Reds fans knew it wasn't their way when McConnell blasted over a great chance over the drop.
Lockhart's goal came in the 86th minute while Morgan completed his hat-trick two minutes from time.
