Glenn Ferguson hit Linfield's opener from the penalty spot

Ferguson put the Belfast Blues in front with an 11th minute penalty after Michael Gault has been fouled.

Then on 23 minutes O'Kane netted after a strong run from Peter Thompson.

Linfield lead Group Three with nine points while Loughgall remain rooted to the bottom without a point after three defeats on the trot.

Loughgall's best attempts were an Alain Emerson shot which struck the bar and an effort from Scott McCordick which forced Blues keeper Alan Mannus into a good save.
