Lisburn Distillery's John Martin got the opener at New Grosvenor |
Glentoran slipped from top of the Irish Premier League to third place after losing at New Grosvenor. Roy Coyle's title chasers are now two points behind new leaders Portadown and have also been overtaken by champions Linfield on goal difference.
The Glens trailed to a 25th minute goal from John Martin after keeper Elliott Morris failed to collect a deep cross.
Michael Halliday equalised but former Glentoran striker Darren Armour scored the winner with 74th minute penalty.
It was Martin's fourth goal of the season which put the Whites in front, his shot finding the net after Morris had been beaten in the air.
Glentoran top scorer Halliday snapped up a half chance in the box to make it 1-1 20 minutes into the second half.
But Distillery struck the winner with Armour's coolly taken shipped penalty proving the winner 17 minutes from time.
The spot-kick had been awarded for Colin Nixon's foul on the pacey Martin and there were no complaints from the visitors.
"I do not think there is any doubt the Glentoran player caught him," said Distillery manager Paul Kirk.
"It is great to beat Glentoran. Our performances have been better than our results this season."
