Jeff Spiers grabbed the Cruasders equaliser after half-time |
Crusaders find themselves level at the bottom with a resurgent Omagh Town after a share of the spoils with Coleraine at Seaview. In an even contest Coleraine held sway in the first half with a Barry Curran strike giving the visitors the lead.
Crusaders were quickly level after half-time when veteran Jeff Spiers was on the scoresheet.
Colin Magill had an early chance to score when he raced clear but Pat McAllister brought off a saving ackle.
But it was Coleraine who got the opening goal in the 20th minute when Curran tapped in after Neil Armstrong had parried a Bertie Fulton header.
Armstrong then pulled off a great save when he pushed away a header from Stephen Carson.
Crusaders equalised two minutes on the resumption when Spiers nodded home a close-range header from a Liam Dunne header.
The draw sees Coleraine keep their fifth place but they are now level on points with Ballymena.
