Ballymena broke the run of six successive home draws with a narrow win over Loughgall at the Showgrounds. It was revenge for an early season defeat at Lakeview Park and will release some of the pressure on manager Kenny Shiells.

Ballymena went behind in the 19th minute when a Darragh Peden's long throw-in was headed in by the alert Emerson.
Smith grabbed Ballymena's equaliser in the 65th minute when he was on hand to head home a corner from substitute Justin McBride.
The Sky Blues forged ahead in the 75th minute following a short corner with Kearney sending a bullet header home from a Jamie Marks cross.
