Distillery's John Martin
John Martin scored Distillery's opening goal against Newington
The Whites set up a last eight meeting with Kilmore Rec after their narrow Co Antrim Shield victory over amatuers Newington YC on Tuesday night.

John Martin, who was making his return after injury, put Distillery ahead with a close-range finish on 16 minutes.

Newington keeper John Irvine kept his side in the game with a series of first half saves.

Danny Hale hit the crossbar for the visitors before Noel Anderson fired home on 72 minutes to seal the win.

Meanwhile, in the Daily Mirror Trophy final at Dixon Park, Bangor defeated Glenavon 3-1.

All the goals came in the first half with Bangor scoring through David Officer and Andy Morrow while David McAlinden put through his own goal. Glenavon replied through Conor Devine.
