Michael Halliday scored the winner in the Nationwide Irish Cup final
Michael Halliday of Glentoran, scorer of the winning goal in the Nationwide Irish Cup final, has been named personality of the competition.

The striker scored the only goal of the 1 May decider against holders Coleraine at Windsor Park.

Halliday also won the semi-final award after scoring a hat-trick in the 4-1 success over Omagh Town.

Overall, he scored six goals in the competition, earning him the vote of the NI Football Writers' Association.

"It was a disappointing season for us in the league but winning the cup was a great way to end the campaign," said Halliday.

Amateur League club Albert Foundry won Nationwide's Fair Play award for the best disciplinary record in the Irish Cup.
