Andy Smith and Michael Halliday got the goals for Glentoran

The Glens booked their place in the 2004 decider with a 4-1 win over Omagh Town at Mourneview Park.

They will meet Coleraine again in the 1 May showpiece after Marty Quinn's Bannsiders beat Limavady United 3-1 in the other semi-final at Ballymena.

Michael Halliday scored three as Glentoran came from behind to win.

But Halliday got the Glens level on 26 minutes with a looping header from Tim McCann's hoisted ball into the penalty area.

It was well taken by Halliday but Town boss Jonathan Speak will be asking questions of his defenders.

Halliday got his second seven minutes before half-time when he stooped to head in from close-range.

International striker Andy Smith blasted in number three for Glentoran at the second atempt on 61 minutes before Halliday put the icing on the cake with his hat-trick goal from close-range.

It was Halliday's first hat-trick in senior football and he admitted Omagh had given them a scare in the early stages.

"It was not a case of underestimating them but Omagh really put it up to us in the first 20 minutes," said Halliday, who scored the winner in the 2001 final.

"But, once we got level, I felt we were always going to win.

"We have lost many games since Christmas and we knew we had to win this one because the Irish Cup is so important to us this season.

"Last year's final was a great disappointment to us after achieving so much in the other competitions.
