Tommy Wright saw his Limavady side held at home |
Resurgent Limavady United were held to their first draw under Tommy Wright as Larne took a deserved point from Saturday's clash at the Showgrounds. United had won five and lost four under the former Northern Ireland goalkeeper to move well away from the bottom of the Irish League's Premier Division.
They can have no complaints about sharing the points with Larne as it was an even contest with few clear chances.
Larne went close when Jim McCloskey's cross stuck the United crossbar.
Conor Lynch, Mark McDaid and Paul Brown all had efforts for the Roesiders but could not find the net.
Limavady pressed in the second half but Larne, with Mark Dickson menacing on the right wing, looked dangerous on the counterattack.
Larne, with new player-manager John Devine at the helm, are now unbeaten in their last four Daily Mirror Irish League matches.
