Ballymena United 4-0 Glenavon
The Sky Blues went in front on 30 minutes through a Nigel Jemson goal. Oran Kearney got Ballymena's second 13 minutes into the second half. Kearney netted another on 79 minutes and Shay Campbell wrapped it up with a late fourth.
Coleraine 4-2 Institute
Rory Hamill put Coleraine into a 28th minute lead at Ballycastle Road. Barry Rooney equalised just before half-time and Ryan Coyle edged Institute ahead early in the second half. Jody Tolan scored from close-range on 66 minutes to make it 2-2. Coleraine defender Gareth McAuley put the Bannsiders into a 3-2 lead on 80 minutes. Barry Curran netted a 90th minute fourth for Coleraine.
Dungannon Swifts 2-5 Larne
James McDonagh headed Larne into the lead after 20 minutes at Stangmore Park. Scrappy defending from a corner let Alan Murphy in to score Larne's second goal. Larne scored second half goals through Derek Delaney (61) and Neil Candlish (67 and 73) while Tony Fitzpatrick (74) and Everaldo (90) were on target for Dungannon.
Glentoran 1-2 Portadown
Kyle Neill put Portadown ahead from a free-kick on 28 minutes. Tim McCann headed Glentoran's equaliser 19 minutes into the second half from a Darren Armour cross. Gary Hamilton shot Portadown's winner on 84 minutes.
Limavady United 2-3 Crusaders
A Gavin Arthur free-kick put the Crues into the lead after 18 minutes and Chris Morrow made it two 11 minutes later. Brian Russell got number three for the Crues on 57 minutes. Limavady scored five minutes later through a Jeff Spiers own goal. Liam Cooley scored to give Limavady hope of getting something out of the game but it turned out to be a losing start for new United boss Tommy Wright.
Lisburn Distillery 1-1 Linfield
Linfield went behind on 30 minutes as Paul Muir scored for the Whites with a great shot from outside the penalty area. Distillery's Paul Prenter was sent-off for an incident with Glenn Ferguson. Ferguson saved Linfield with a late penalty after a Wayne Buchanan foul on Davy Larmour.
Newry Town 3-1 Cliftonville
Newry skipper Robert Casey scored a penalty on seven minutes after Barry Meehan was brought down by Reds keeper Paul Straney. Barry Tumilty equalised for Cliftonville on 28 minutes. Lamine Camara restored Newry's lead on 41 minutes. Raymond Byrne's 75th minute goal extended Newry's lead.
Omagh Town 1-4 Ards
Gary Kennedy scored for Ards after just 45 seconds with a header. Kennedy scored his second to double the Ards lead on 41 minutes. The Ards domination continued in the second half as Raymond Campbell's deflected shot found the net. Andy Crawford scored for Omagh on 57 minutes but then Kennedy completed his hat-trick to restore Ards' three-goal cushion.
