Glentoran won three trophies in the 2002-03 season |
County Antrim Shield holders Glentoran have been drawn against Irish League First Division side Donegal Celtic in the first round of this season's competition.
The Glens, winners of the Shield five times in the last six seasons, kick-off the defence of the trophy on Tuesday 28 October.
There are eight senior clubs in the draw and eight intermediate sides.
The eight internmediate clubs are made up of five of the Steel & Sons Cup quarter-finalists plus three invited clubs.
That meant three quarter-finalists were left out - Drumaness Mills, Wakehurst and holders Killyleagh.
The invited clubs are Bangor, Carrick Rangers and Ballyclare Comrades who all failed to make the grade in the First Division last season.
Killyleagh, winners of the Amateur League title for four successive seasons, will feel especially aggrieved at their omission as they have already knocked Bangor out of the Steel Cup this season.
