 Glentoran could be celebrating league title victory next week |
Glentoran travel to sixth-placed Institute for the opening game of the Daily Mirror Premiership play-offs on 12 April. Glentoran are at present 13 points ahead of Portadown and victory will see them collect the title for the first time since 1999.
Portadown, who face Glentoran in the Irish Cup on Saturday, are away to third place Coleraine, while fourth-placed Linfield take on Omagh at Windsor Park.
With Glentoran certain to be the new champions, the main gist of the play-offs now features the fight to get into Europe.
Depending on results in the cup, the top four have a chance of progressing into European competitions.
There are two mid-week programmes with Belfast's 'Big Two' meeting on Tuesday, 29 April at Windsor Park.
While the top six fight it out for honours, the bottom half dozen are attempting to avoid the drop. The Premiership league is increasing to 16 teams from next season.
The top four in Division One are automatically promoted while the bottom side in the Premiership faces a two-legged play-off with the fifth-placed team in Division One.
Newry are at present eight points adrift of 11th placed Glenavon are likely to be facing a fight for survival with either Larne or Bangor.
