Givens rewards O'Connor with a starting place |
Manager Don Givens has reinstated Graham Barrett to the Republic of Ireland under-21 side for Tuesday game against Albania in Tirana.
Barrett, on loan from Arsenal to Brighton, drops down from the senior squad following the arrival of Robbie Keane.
However, missing from the difficult game is Manchester United's full-back Paul Tierney who has failed to recover from a knee injury.
Rogers has been forced to swtich Manchester City's Stephen Paisley to left-back with Scunthorpe's Clifford Byrne moving in beside Jim Goodwin.
The suspended Andy Reid, who was sent off against Georgia, is replaced by Kevin O'Connor.
The Brentford forward gets his reward after a fine performance when he came on as a late substitute against Georgia.
Republic of Ireland U21: Stack, Brennan, Paisley, Byrne, Goodwin, Thompson, Miller, O'Connor, Thornton, Daly, Barrett.
