Kerr loses McAteer and Kelly
Jason McAteer has not played for Ireland since the defeat by Russia in September
McAteer missed Brian Kerr's first match in charge

Jason McAteer and Gary Kelly have withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2004 qualifiers against Georgia and Albania.

The Irish also have injury concerns over Clinton Morrison, John O'Shea and Steve Finnan.

McAteer and Kelly are both struggling with hamstring injuries and their clubs, Sunderland and Leeds, have withdrawn them.

The Sunderland player didn't feature in Saturday's 2-0 defeat by West Ham.

Morrison dislocated his shoulder in Birmingham's 1-0 win over and must also be regarded as a major doubt.

He will visit Birmingham's club doctor on Tuesday for tests before a decision will be made on whether he can travel to Dublin to join the Ireland squad.

Manchester United's O'Shea picked up a hamstring injury in the 3-0 over Fulham but he will join the Ireland party where his fitness will be assisted.

Right-back Finnan didn't feature in the game for Fulham due to a rib injury but he will also link up with the Irish squad.
