Healy happy to end drought
New boss Lawrie Sanchez saw Northern Ireland lose 4-1 to Norway
David Healy said he hoped people would concentrate on other things after he ended Northern Ireland's 1,298-minute goal famine against Norway.

"It was important we scored and we have got this monkey off our back," he said.

"It did not matter who got the goal, it could have been anyone, and it is disappointing not to score more as we had two or three good chances."

Striker Andy Smith said: "It was a tremendous pity about the result but they are a quality side."

New Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez said he was pleased desite losing 4-1.

"There were defensive mistakes but at least the fans have seen a goal. Now they need to see a win," said Sanchez.

"David Healy scored and had other chances and in Andy Smith hopefully we have the big frontman we are looking for.

"The supporters were fantastic. The welcome I have received has been truly unbelievable and I am disappointed our next four matches are away from home."
