FA training centre in doubt

The Football Association has postponed a decision on the National Football Centre at Burton until 2005. The FA has to decide whether to write off the �16m that has already been spent on the centre at Burton-on-Trent. "It was decided to defer any decision on the future of the National Football Centre until the spring of 2005," the FA said in a statement. The centre, which was moth-balled last year due to the FA's financial problems, would cost �80m to complete.
