Manchester United's Quinton Fortune will play a part in Thursday's friendly between South Africa and England.

Fortune was not at South Africa's final training session and had been out of contact with team officials earlier this week.

He was finally located by Danny Jordaan, who is chairing South Africa's bid to host the 2010 World Cup finals.

The midfielder told Jordaan he would arrive in Durban in time for the game.

Stand-in coach Jomo Sono said: "I've heard from Danny Jordaan that he is coming - he is a good player and we are waiting for him to join us.

Limped out

"I have no idea why he isn't here, but we will chat to him when he arrives."

Aside from handling the Fortune issue, Sono also had to watch as his captain Lucas Radebe limped out of the final training session with a knee injury.

Radebe, who will be making his 70th and final appearance for the national side, left the field 20 minutes from the end and had his knee tightly bandaged.

But he insisted he would be fit for the game.

"I'll be fine, I just think I've worked it a bit hard," he said.

"Yesterday we had two sessions and today I opted to take it a bit easier. But the knee flared up a bit and I came off to make sure I can play on Thursday.

"Nothing will stop me from playing in this game. If I have to play with one leg, I'll do it."
