Ramsey won his first senior Wales cap against Denmark last November
Aaron Ramsey admits Wales' failure to qualify for next year's World Cup in South Africa has "hurt" him.
The Arsenal midfielder, 18, is tipped by many as a future star at both club and international level.
Ramsey is expected to win his ninth and 10th caps in the final World Cup qualifiers in Finland on Saturday and Liechtenstein four days later.
"I'm hurt that we have not qualified because I felt we had a good opportunity to do it," he said.
"We want to qualify for a championship as much as anybody else does, but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
"We have gained massive experience playing against the likes of Germany and Russia in this group, they have top players and you learn so much playing against them.
"You are facing some of the best players in the world. You get used to how quick and clever they are and you want to be competing against that quality.
"We will come back stronger and hopefully finally qualify."
Caerphilly-born Ramsey, who is in his second season at the Emirates following a £5m move from Cardiff City, is rapidly making a name for himself.

And he praises Gunners boss Arsene Wenger for helping him to develop, mostly using him from the bench last season and setting a target of 15-20 starts this term.
"There is no question he looks after the youngsters like that, he has brought through so many young players," said Ramsey of the Frenchman.
"He has given them opportunities, developed them, and turned them into great players. I hope he can do that with me.
"He doesn't shout at you, he is relaxed and tells you ways that you can improve. He is also very quick to praise if you do something very well in a game.
"Like if you make an assist instead of trying to shoot yourself, then he will tell you how great you are but he will always tell you the negatives, too.
"He has a great influence on me, you must listen to what he says and learn."
And some of Ramsey's fellow countrymen are hoping to pick up one or two tips from him on international duty.
"He's a fantastic player," said goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. "On the training field, you can stand and watch him all day. We need more players like Aaron Ramsey."
But as far as Ramsey is concerned, he wants to end a disappointing World Cup qualifying campaign a maximum six points, starting with Finland.
"We want to win our last two games and finish third," he said.
"That's our target now and hopefully we can go over there and do that and go over to Liechtenstein and get the three points."
And for Wolves keeper Hennessey, he also wants revenge in Helsinki on Saturday after the ageing Finnish side beat Wales 2-0 at the Millennium Stadium earlier in their World Cup qualifying Group Four campaign.
It was seen by many as the lowest point of Wales' campaign, effectively ending their hopes of reaching next year's World Cup in South Africa..

"We were very disappointed after that game," 22-year-old Hennessey told BBC Radio Wales.
"When we go out there, we are going to do as well as we can."
Wales are fourth in Group Four having won three out of their eight games and losing five times, including twice each to leaders Germany and second place Russia.
But they can finish third if they beat Finland and Liechtenstein four days later and also hope that the Fins lose their final match in Germany.
