The current Montenegro side is captained by Roma striker Mirko Vucinic, who came on as a substitute in the Italian side's 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
Montenegro are currently fourth in qualifying Group Eight behind Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Balkan rivals Bulgaria.
Wales, who sit third in Group Four, are next in action on 28 March, when they face Finland in a World Cup qualifier in the Millennium Stadium.
John Toshack's men then face Germany, also in Cardiff, four days later.
Wales hope that captain Craig Bellamy and centre-back James Collins will be fit for the Group Four double-header.
Collins' West Ham team-mate Jack Collison is also a doubt after the midfielder suffered a knee injury last week.
