Giovanni Trapattoni is happy his players are getting first team football
Manager Giovanni Trapattoni says the Republic are intent on getting the win which will take them level with leaders Italy in their World Cup group.
"It will not be an easy game for us, but we have to go on to the pitch aiming to win," said Trapattoni.
"I saw Georgia lose 2-1 against Romania, but they played very well.
"They have changed their system and Hector Cuper has tried some other players, and two or three players in different positions."
Earlier in the qualifying series, the Republic beat their opponents 2-1 in a match played in neutral Germany because of the political situation in Georgia at the time.
Trapattoni said he was pleased that some of his players were now getting more first team football at their clubs.
Midfielder Glenn Whelan has started Stoke's last 10 games, Liam Miller is thriving since his move from Sunderland to QPR and Blackburn's Keith Andrews is also getting himself involved at Ewood Park.
Trapattoni added that skipper Robbie Keane's return to Tottenham after a difficult spell at Liverpool would benefit his national side.
"I am happy because three months ago, those players were not playing for their teams.
"I have always said they need to play in England because they are good players.
"It is important for them and it is important for the national team."
