Nigel Worthington's side lost 1-0 to Bulgaria at Windsor Park |
Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington declared himself happy with his team's performance despite losing 1-0 at home to Bulgaria in Wednesday's friendly. "It was a good exercise and I am happy with it," he said.
"With a little luck we could have at least got a draw. We had some decent chances and could have created more.
"We picked Bulgaria and Georgia because we have four eastern European nations in our World Cup qualifying group who will play in a similar style."
NI captain Aaron Hughes, however, felt it had been a scrappy match played in tricky conditions.

"There was a period when we were giving the ball away. We were trying to pass it on a difficult pitch," saud Hughes.
"We never really got going but Bulgaria are a good side with players who can hurt you.
"But these games are for ironing out any creases and we will try to improve on that when we play Georgia."
