Palladino is a versatile player |
Raffaele Palladino has been called up into the Italy squad for the first time for their key Euro 2008 qualifiers in Scotland and at home to Faroe Islands. The 23-year-old, who has been used as a winger for Juventus, is joined by fellow forwards Alberto Gilardino and Vincenzo Iaquinta, who return.
Captain Fabio Cannavaro is back from suspension and defender Gianluca Zambrotta returns from injury.
Italy are a point behind second-placed Scotland but have a game in hand.
