Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield has been called into the Scotland Under-21 squad for the first time. The 18-year-old was named in coach Maurice Malpas's party for the matches against Lithuania and the Netherlands.
Scotland host the Lithuanians at Easter Road on Thursday 11 October then play in Holland the following Tuesday.
Arfield told the Daily Express: "This season, my sole focus was to get as many games as I could in the SPL, but this is unbelievable."
Dundee United goalkeeper Euan McLean, St Mirren number one Chris Smith and Celtic defender Paul Caddis, Hibernian midfielder Kevin McCann and Dundee's Kevin McDonald are the other uncapped players in the squad.
