Scotland's recent good form has seen them rise nine places to 14th in the latest world rankings. Alex McLeish's side secured Euro 2008 qualifying wins over Lithuania and France to sit top of Group B.
The French have dropped two places to sixth, while Italy have leapfrogged Brazil and Argentina to the top spot.
England are up three places to 9th, Germany rise one place to fourth, while the Czech Republic drop to 11th and Mexico to 13th.
The Republic of Ireland climb five spots to 32nd despite suffering disappointment in their Euro 2008 qualifiers and are ahead of Northern Ireland - who have dropped nine positions to 36th.
Wales are 53rd after climbing 21 places.
